Materials for the production of Freudenberg composites
VILEDON material is made of PES (polyester), PAC (polyacrylonitrile), SKLA E, C and ECR. Viledon is used for surface treatment of various products, characterized by resistance to inorganic acids, organic solvents, alkali, corrosion, UV radiation and static charge discharge (electrically conductive). They can be used for many types of processing technologies - winding, stamping, pultrusion, hand lamination, machine coating. The end products can be: containers, pipes, drawn profiles, various moldings, skis, sanitary products, boards, etc.

Explanatory notes:
- PES = polyester fibers
- PAC = polyacrylonitrile fibers
- ECR – glass = special glass with high chemical resistance, especially in the environment of inorganic acids (suitable for desulphurizers)

(Resistance Overview)
POLYESTER (PES) | POLYACRYLNITRILE (PAC) | |
---|---|---|
Transparency (UP) |
Common |
Excellent similar refractive index of light as UP - transparent parts |
Resistance to organic solvents |
very good |
Comparable to PES |
Resistance to inorganic acids |
Good, does not resist sulfuric acid 96% and nitric acid 65% |
Comparable to PES |
Resistance to alkali |
Bad - there is sap |
very good 1) |
UV resistance, weather resistance |
very good |
Excellent - the best of all synthetic fibers |
Water absorption |
Very low - 0% - 0.4% |
|
Thermal resistance |
Only at steady temperatures above 150 ºC there is yellowing |
1) When cooked in 40% potassium hydroxide, it browns but does not destroy (dissolves)
